These video stories will give your church or missions group a glimpse of the mission and ministry work supported by your gifts to the Maguire State Mission Offering.
Each video story is self-contained for use during worship services, as a part of a state missions prayer service, or during Sunday School and small group meetings. Your state missions study material also suggests ways to use these stories as part of your state missions study.
WELCOME TO THE FLORIDA MISSION FIELD briefly reminds Florida Baptists of the spiritual needs on the Florida mission field and calls on Florida Baptists to pray, to give sacrificially, and to be personally Compelled by Christ’s compassion for the spiritually lost and hurting across our state.
OUR STATE MISSIONS LEGACY introduces offering namesakes, Florida Baptist missionary pioneers John and Clyde Maguire, and summarizes the ministries funded by this year’s offering.
NEW CHURCHES—Cross Brand Church, Williston is a new growing congregation in central Florida reaching out to cowboys, ranch hands, and their families. Your gifts through the Maguire state mission offering help plant new congregations to proclaim the Gospel message in the new, growing, and changing neighborhoods across the Florida mission field.
MISSION OUTREACH MINISTRIES—Mission Smiles in Tampa Bay Association is one of the ways your state mission offering gifts take free dental care and the presence of Jesus into needy neighborhoods all across Florida. Last year dental ministry volunteers treated some 1800 patients and reported more than 100 professions of faith.
MISSION OUTREACH MINISTRIES—Church Revitalization, First Baptist Church of Miami Springs takes your church members to a once-thriving neighborhood church in Dade County where a partnership between the Florida Baptist Convention, the Miami Baptist Association, and Riverside Baptist Church has brought a fresh vision and new life to keep a vital Christian witness in this community.
MISSION OUTREACH MINISTRIES—Church Revitalization, Central Baptist church, Leesburg introduces a Central Florida church that had dwindled to a handful of members, now thriving again through a revitalization process made possible, in part, by your state mission offering gifts.
