Small Membership Churches and Bivocational Pastors
The Discipleship and Family Department is dedicated to creating specialized training programs to help equip bivocational ministers to be effective and fulfilled in their roles as ministers. The department also values the opportunity to help small churches reach their communities by maximizing the use of available resources as they face the challenge of limited personnel.The following events are available to Small Church and Bivocational Ministers. The Discipleship and Family Department assists church leaders in their continuing task of equipping members for Christian discipleship by training them in new member orientation, leader development, doctrinal instruction, church history, constitution and by-laws, church staff job descriptions and church polity. This area of work also offers assistance with church recreation and drama, media libraries, Bible drills, health and fitness, and other personal growth support ministries.
