To reach our state …
To reach our nation …
To reach our world …
Since 1925, Florida Baptists have partnered with Southern Baptists to reach the world through the Cooperative Program. This God-given, mission-driven strategy unites all Southern Baptists into a mission team to fulfill the Great Commission.
Florida Baptists have found that working together, rather than individually, is a more efficient and effective way of doing God’s work in the world, state and nation. Not every Christian can travel across the globe—or even across the state—to share his or her faith, start a new church or minister to hurting people, but by giving through the Cooperative Program every person has a role in making an eternal difference in the lives of others.
From each gift of tithes and offerings made to a Florida Baptist church, Florida Baptist churches voluntarily send to the Cooperative Program a percentage or a specific amount of their regular offerings. Those funds are sent to the Florida Baptist Convention.
Sixty percent is retained in Florida to implement Great Commission ministry efforts within the state. Forty percent is sent to the Southern Baptist Convention, which when added to money gathered by other state conventions underwrites the national and global work of Southern Baptist missionaries serving throughout the nations.
