Because of the rapid growth in the number of new churches in Haiti, many projects will combine leadership training and crusades. Training is needed at the most basic level for pastoral ministry, deacons, and Sunday School teachers and leaders. The crusades are designed to reach out to the community with the gospel of Christ. They are very popular and well-attended.

The people of Haiti are very open and spiritually starved for the good news of Jesus Christ. Won't you be part of what God is doing in Haiti?

MISSION GUEST HOUSE/PORT-AU-PRINCE

If your church is interested in taking a trip to Haiti and is seeking lodging accommodations, the Florida Baptist Convention Guest House in Port-au-Prince houses 27 people comfortably and is ideal for volunteer ministry groups.

HA2008-01 EVANGELISM: CRUSADE/MEDICAL Northwest Association. March 1-9. his team will provide leadership for an area-wide crusade in Port-de-Paix. During the day, a medical clinic staffed by medical volunteers will promote the crusade and witness to those who come for medical attention. Other non-medical volunteers and local Baptist Haitians will witness to and invite to the crusade the individuals as they wait for medical care. We are recruiting team members. HA2008-02 EVANGELISM: LEADERSHIP TRAINING Artibonite Association. March 29-April 4. In St. Marc, the team of 6-12 volunteers will teach spiritual development/discipleship, provide training for deacons, and lead a VBS for children. Each evening the team will participate in one or more church revivals through preaching and testimonies. Cost: $890, plus airfare. Project filled - Yulee Baptist Church.

HA2008-03 EVANGELISM: LEADERSHIP TRAINING West Association. May 17-24. In Port-au-Prince, the team of 6-12 volunteers will teach pastors and church leaders “How to Grow a Church” and lead a VBS or evangelistic sports clinic for children. Each evening the team will participate in one or more church revival(s) through preaching and testimonies. Cost: $700, plus airfare. Project filled - Sarasota Baptist Church

HA2008-04 EVANGELISM: LEADERSHIP TRAINING Central Association. Jan. 12-19. Each morning the team will teach “Baptist Faith and Message,” and do a VBS with the children. Each afternoon the team will teach and do personal evangelism. Each evening the team will participate in leading evangelistic meeting(s) in one or more churches through preaching and testimony. HA2008-05 EVANGELISM: LEADERSHIP TRAINING North Association. July 7-14. The team of 6-12 volunteers will instruct how to teach children, and teach pastors how to prepare a sermon, and provide training for deacons. Some team members will lead a VBS for children. HA2008-06 EVANGELISM: CRUSADE/MEDICAL South Association. Aug. 2-10. This evangelical team will lead an area-wide crusade in the city of Cayes. Each day the team of medical and non-medical volunteers will work with the local Haitian CMBH churches to witness to individuals and invite them to the crusade as they wait and are given medical attention. HA2008-07 EVANGELISM: CONSTRUCTION CMBH Guesthouse. Sept. 13-20. The CMBH guesthouse is essential to the success of all mission teams. At times the guesthouse is not large enough to for all multiple teams and/or special training. Also some volunteers have difficulty climbing the stairs to the guestrooms. A team of 8-12 will remodel rooms in the back portion to house to accommodate more volunteers and those who prefer to stay on the main floor.
