The Florida Baptist Convention works with the Western Cuba
Baptist Convention, handling the majority of logistics for
partnership projects in Cuba. Volunteer teams can contain
a maximum of eight people.
2008 Cuba Projects
CU2008-01 EVANGELISM, TRAINING AND CONSTRUCTION Baptist Camp. Jan. 24-Feb. 1. This team of 9 will travel to the Baptist Camp to train and help with construction. Located in the beautiful Yumuri valley, the camp is the main conference center for children, youth, and adult retreats throughout the year. Cost per person: $525, plus airfare.

CU2008-02 EVANGELISM AND CONSTRUCTION La Vigia Baptist Church. Feb. 1-8. This team of 9 will do construction, minister to the believers, and witness to the lost in the city of Santa Clara. The church of 79 members with a Baptist community of 128 persons which was once a mission of the First Baptist Church of Santa Clara witness and minister to the 247,000 residents of Santa Clara. CU2008-03 EVANGELISM, TRAINING AND CONSTRUCTION. Baptist Camp. May 1-9. This team of 9 will travel to the Baptist Camp to train and help with construction. CU2008-04 EVANGELISM AND CONSTRUCTION Melena del Sur Baptist Church. June 20-27. The team of 9 will do construction during the day and evangelize and train each evening. Melena del Sur is a small town south of Havana. The church of 83, which has 240 in worship, ministers to the 15,000 inhabitants. Cost per person: $575, plus airfare.

CU2008-05 EVANGELISM AND CONSTRUCTION FBC Caibarien. June 28-July 4. This team of 9 will assist the church of 198 members in reaching the community in north Villa Clara. Each evening the team will train and lead evangelistic services. During the day the team will repair the walls and roof of the pastoral house. Cost per person: $590, plus airfare. CU2008-06 EVANGELISM AND CONSTRUCTION Esperanza Baptist Church . Sept. 12-19. This team of 9 will do construction during the day and will lead children and adult evangelism each evening. The church 133 members has a Baptist community of 425 persons witnessing to the 20,000 lost inhabitants of Esperanza in the middle of the island. Cost per person: $590, plus airfare. Project filled. CU2008-07 EVANGELISM AND CONSTRUCTION FBC San Juan y Martinez. Oct. 17-24. Each evening the team of 9 will train and lead evangelistic services. During the day, they will do construction work. Cost per person: $600, plus airfare. Project filled - First Baptist Church, Mt. Dora
CU2008-08 EVANGELISM AND CONSTRUCTION Consolacion del Sur Baptist Church. Oct. 23-31. This team of 9 members will do construction during the day and will assist the church of 206 members reach Pinar del Rio Province. 575.00, plus airfare. Project filled. Idlewild Baptist Church, Tampa
Team member expenses are based on a full team. In the event the team has fewer than 9 members, the cost will increase. In addition to the team member costs listed, there is a team construction fee of $2500 for materials for each project.
Churches that decide to participate in a project will need
to write a letter of commitment including team and trip details
