3 times a Day … In the 66 Books of the Bible
Read, listen, memorize, write/journal and every day ask God for insights in how to join Him personally and church-wide in His work in your community and beyond. Always think Kingdom advancement. Add to this involvement in a Bible study small group with a focus on touching your world—as individuals, families, and a church.
THINK AND LIVE
Connecting with the Lord and with people
Set a goal to memorize at least one verse a week. The more you know His Word, the greater your vocabulary in prayer and the more your have to share with others!
HOW? Begin by having daily time in the word, reading the Bible.
Daily Bible reading guide:
1) Something to READ
2) Something to REMEMBER a truth about God; an insight to live out; a promise to pray; a command to obey; a sin to avoid; an adjustment to make; an attitude to take into my day; a praise or thanksgiving to speak. Write it in a journal or notebook to help you remember.
3) Something to help me RECOGNIZE God at work in your life today so that you can more readily relate to Him, join with Him, walk with Him, and talk with Him through the day.
Memorizing/Meditating on the Word—Select a verse or passage and begin reading it over and over. Read it out loud, emphasizing each word starting with the first word the first time through, then go to the second word for the second read through, etc. Think about the impact of each word. Read the verse or passage along with its context to get the full meaning. Seek to memorize one verse a week or one every two weeks. Select the pace that fits you. Review each week to keep the verses fresh in your mind.

As you connect with God in His Word, you will grow in knowing Him and better understand His will for your life. Treat this as your “daily bread” from the Bible (Job 23:12; Matthew 4:4; Deuteronomy 8:2-3).
