One task
of a newly
planted
church is
to locate
a place
for corporate
worship,
which includes
finding
property
for a new
church site,
securing
financial
resources
and constructing
a worship
center.
The New
Work Assistance
ministry
administers
the Convention's
financial
program
for securing
property
and building
for new
Southern
Baptist
missions
and churches
in Florida.
Financial
programs
administered
by this
office include
the Church
Site Fund
and the
New Work
Revolving
Fund.
The Convention
provides
a program
of pastoral
salary assistance
that is
available
to persons
starting
new church
missions.
Assistance
is also
given to
the development
of research
to identify
the interests,
needs and
demographics
of the people
who could
benefit
from the
start of
a new mission
church.
