provides
helps to
search committees
as they
begin the
process
of finding
the person
God has
to lead
that congregation.
Training
and resource
materials
are available
upon request.
Biographical
information
is collected
and made
available
to authorized
church committees
upon request.
If information
on a person
is not on
file, steps
will be
take to
obtain it
discreetly
without
involving
the church
that requested
it.
Included
in this
ministry
is the maintenance
of a list
of pastors
who are
available
for pulpit
supply or
interim
service.
Supply pastors
are available
to lead
worship
services
on a short-term
basis-usually
not more
than two
or three
consecutive
Sundays.
An interim
pastor is
willing
to make
a long-term
commitment
to a church.
The interim
pastor assumes
a broader
leadership
role in
preparing
the church
to call
its next
pastor.
