Florida-based Volunteer Projects—2010

GREATER ORLANDO BAPTIST ASSOCIATION
Teams needed to help in the area of Resort Ministry—any size group. Help needed with Kid’s Club at hotels in the area; Family entertainment; Prayer walking; Water give-away. Greater Orlando will customize a schedule for each group according to their talents and abilities and how busy they want to be. HALIFAX BAPTIST ASSOCIATION
Work crew needed to help with some general work to be done around the church—painting, cleaning, yard work. Possible dates—June 27-July 3. MIAMI BAPTIST ASSOCIATION
Team needed to serve in a migrant camp to assist one or two families (maybe more, depending on skill, resources, and overall needs of the homes) to do building repair, painting, possibly fixture replacement and appliance replacement for needy families living in the migrant camps. In addition to the construction, the team could conduct a block party in the migrant camp. Contact person: Michael Daily, Director of Church and Community Ministries, Miami Baptist Association. Team needed to do repair and painting for 2 or more families in the city of Florida City. Other opportunities might include conducting health fairs and block parties in the community. Teams needed to: 1) Survey local neighborhoods anytime (2-3 days est.); 2) Conduct VBS in June/July for one week; 3) Help with flyer blitz in surrounding communities (anytime 2-5 days). Mosaic Miami Church, Miami. Contact person: Kevin Sutherland, Pastor.

NORTHWEST COAST BAPTIST ASSOCIATION
Teams needed to do Vacation Bible School; Kid’s Club/Backyard Bible Club; Light construction; Nursing Home Ministry; Rescue Mission; Council on Aging; Survey work; Clean up a yard/painting.
