Media Services

Media services is a team of missionary story-tellers, using the video and audio media to tell the stories of Florida Baptists making a difference across the Florida mission field and to the ends of the earth. We also provide audio-visual support to convention staff, and assist local churches and associations with media-related consultation.

Encouraging Florida Baptists to be on missions we produce video materials for the week of prayer for state missions, the Maguire State Mission Offering, and for other special mission and ministry efforts.

Throughout the year we produce FLBAPTISTS: On Mission Together, a growing library of video stories about Florida Baptists making an eternal difference in the lives of others. These video stories can be viewed and downloaded from the convention’s web site and are available free on DVD by calling 800-226-8584, ext. 3157 or emailing the department.

Helping Florida Baptist churches develop believers and equip church members to take a Gospel witness to every Floridian, our staff and contract workers consult with local churches and associations on the effective use of media for outreach, worship and discipleship.

Over the past decade, Media Services stories have received more than two dozen national awards including the Tellys, the Communicator Awards, the Aurora Awards, and the Axiem Awards, along with local and regional awards from the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) and the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).

In 2010, six of our productions were selected to receive Telly awards. More than 13,000 entries were viewed by a panel of video industry professionals, and Media Services is honored to be recognized for the excellence of our story-telling and production work. Also, the quality of our work was recognized with four Awards of Distinction in the 2010 Communicator Awards, overseen by the International Academy of the Visual Arts.
