Church Planting

The Convention provides assistance to churches and associations which desire to start new Florida Baptist churches. Assistance includes training for church planters and field consultants who will walk along side church planters in the early development of the church. Assistance also includes church planting grants that are awarded to qualifying new churches to assist in funding their first two years.

AFRICAN-AMERICAN / LANGUAGE / CHURCH REVITALIZATION

This ministry assists churches and associations in starting healthy new English speaking congregations that will reproduce themselves. Assistance is provided through field consultants, demographic research, training, assessments of church planters and processing requests for church planting grants. New church planters are prepared through a church planting training process in partnership with New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

Church Revitalization
This ministry assists churches in older declining areas to reclaim a vision to reach its surrounding community. Resources include strategy needs assessments, financial assistance for special needs and pastoral salary assistance for leadership of these congregations.
