 WE HAVE A NEW LOOK ~ Exciting things are
happening at Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center and this newsletter is only
one of them. Our intent is to periodically keep you posted with the most up
to date details of what’s going on as the information becomes
available; so you’ll want to keep checking our upcoming newsletters
to stay current with us.

If not then you may not be aware of all the new signs we have
around the area and on our property. Not only have we removed the archway
at the front gate, but we have a completely renovated entrance area to
welcome all our guests and visitors. We feel the new look is much more in
keeping with the times and is much easier to identify where we are back
here in the comforts of Lake County.
 Also, upon entering our campus, there are
new directional and informational signs all around. All four of our hotel
buildings have been renamed to each reflect a tree that’s native to
our Florida habitat. We have
also given each of our other main buildings ‘official’ names and
will soon have our new signs erected on each of them as well. And, in
keeping with all the new sign design changes, we also have a new Lake Yale
Baptist Conference Center logo which we have imprinted on lots of items in
our Tree of Life Books and Gifts shop and our guests seem to be very
receptive and pleased with these new looks. Mentioning our bookstore, we
also have supplied our inventory with lots of new things to read and to
take home as reminders of times spent at Lake
Yale.
To top it all off, we are still in the process of a major
renovation project for all our hotel rooms and conference space. Many of
our guests have commented on how much they appreciate the updated décor and
added amenities in the rooms and around the campus. We are thankful for the
patience shown us during this time of revitalization as we realize the
inconvenience it has been for some of our groups but we know it will be
MUCH better in the long run – for our staff, but mainly for our
guests’ comfort and pleasure.
If you’ve not had the opportunity to visit with us over
the past year, feel free to stop by and check out all the wonderful
changes. We think you’ll be as pleased to stay here and enjoy them as
we are to be here working to make your stay more accommodating. You’ll
want to keep in touch with us, too, as we continue to update and improve
our property and grounds for your pleasure and enjoyment.
Summer Programs were a Big Success!
 Many exciting camps take place at Lake
Yale Baptist
Conference Center
every summer. During the months of June and July, Lake
Yale Baptist
Conference Center
is the place to be for our young people from all over the State of Florida.
One example is our Mission Adventure Camp (MAC Camp) for the young men and
the Florida Girls in Action/Acteens Camp (GA Camp) for our young ladies who
are entering grades 3 through 12.
What do our young people do at camp?
 MAC Camp activities include fishing,
golf, basketball, archery, air rifles and sports skills offered in a
Christian atmosphere. Swimming and canoeing are inviting activities on a
hot summer day; and all program activity leaders follow a strict set of
standards designed for the safety of the campers. Groups focus on
team-building through our new 40-foot climbing tower and ropes course
activities which are designed to teach cooperation, leadership and promote
physical fitness. Camp craft and other outdoor education activities give
campers a closer look at God’s creation while teaching simple outdoor
skills. Spiritual growth activities consisting of quiet time, worship
services, mission experiences and cabin chats provide opportunities for the
campers to hear the message of Christ and learn how to live the Christian
lifestyle.
And the GA’s? They have tons of fun, too!
 They learn sign language; do Bible-based
drama productions, lots of outside recreational activities, gymnastics, cheerleading,
puppetry, swimming in our Olympic-size pool, executing the ropes course for
our teens, praise and worship, and an awesome night event they will never
forget! There is no limit to what these young ladies can do at our GA Camp.
And above all, each girl is exposed to godly role models who are serious
about their walk with God and committed to loving every camper in our camp.
Lake Yale
is very thankful to have these two summer camps for our young people and
appreciate the hard work of each person involved to make these experiences
a wonderfully memorable time for every camper who participates. Kudos to
all!
