Annual Meeting: Program Schedule and Speakers - 2010
MONDAY EVENING | TUESDAY: MORNING | AFTERNOON | EVENING
Enter the “Doors” of Grace, Generosity, Goodness and the Gospel
In the Book of Revelation [3:8] the encouraging words to the faithful people of God are recorded by John based upon what God’s Angel revealed, specifically, “See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut…” Whether directed to the Church in the first century or the twentieth-first century, Christians are encouraged, despite adversity, to remain faithful and persevere for the cause of Christ.
That scripture reference is the basis for the theme of “Doors” which will highlight the 2010 Florida Baptist State Convention annual meeting. That emphasis upon “Doors” seeks to inspire and encourage Florida Baptist messengers – church staff and laity – to work through the “Doors” of Grace, Generosity, Goodness and the Gospel which are based upon these scriptural imperatives:
Open Door of Grace – “On arriving there, they gathered the church together and reported all that God had done through them and how He had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles.” (Acts 14:27) Open Door to Generosity – “The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for Me.'” (Matthew 25:40) Open Door of Goodness – “Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.” (2 Corinthians 9:6) Open Door to the Gospel – “I am the gate; whoever enters through Me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture.” (John 10:9)
The 149th annual meeting of the Florida Baptist State Convention will seek to challenge Florida Baptists to enter the several “Doors” which God has provided to His faithful servants: Grace; Generosity; Goodness; and the Gospel.
Enter the “Doors” of Renewal and Inspiration through Biblical Messages, Reports and Transacting Business
